Munster Community Play Structure

The wooden play structure at Munster Park has over lived it life expectancy and the city is looking to replace it in 2024.  We have the opportunity to acquire grants or raise funds to add to the play structure and surrounding areas.

PETITION AGAINST THE REZONING OF 7731 FERNBANK ROAD IN OTTAWA

WHEREAS The full Council of the City of Ottawa has denied an application from Crain Construction (the

applicant) to rezone 7731 Fernbank Road from general rural (RU) to permit mineral extraction.

WHEREAS The City has stated that it has no need for additional aggregate resources for at least 64 (sixty-four)

years.

WHEREAS The applicant has stated that a pit operation on the site would result in more than 450 (four hundred

and fifty) heavy trucks per day travelling on already deteriorating roads.

WHEREAS Such a traffic increase from the pit operations would interfere with the reasonable enjoyment of

property by local residents, negatively impact their health and safety because of the resultant dust, noise and

diesel particulates and obstruct essential emergency services.
